  I was born in Cádiz in 1971. I entered the Naval Academy in 1992 and graduated on 16th July 1997 belonging to the class 397 of the General Corps of the Navy. As officer I was posted on several ships of the Fleet. I have served on board “Cazadora” (F-35), on the Ship for Oceanographic Research “Hesperides” (A-33), visiting the Antarctic twice for six-month period, and on frigates “Canarias” and “Navarra”. I was commissioned on board French frigate “Tourville”, in the Staff of COMGRUEUROMARFOR. In my land assignments, I worked in the department of Combat System of the Centre for Training and Evaluation for Combat (CEVACO), where I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander on 1st June 2010. Then I was appointed as Executive Officer on frigate “Blas de Lezo” (F-103). I have participated in operations Active Endeavour, Enduring Freedom and Absolute Behaviour and I have been integrated in several international groups such as STANAVFORLANT, SNMG-2 and EUROMARFOR and US NAVY "Eisenhower" Strike Group. I have been awarded with the NATO Meritorious Medal during my last appoint as Principal Staff Officer in Standing NATO MCM Group-1. I became Commanding Officer of patrol boat “Laya” in the rank of Lieutenant and mine hunter ship "Segura" in rank of Lieutenant Commander. I am specialized in AntiSubmarine Weapons and certificated as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and Damage Control and, among others, I have the course of Mine Warfare Officer and NATO Staff Orientation Officer. From September 2015 to June 2016, I attended the Spanish Joint Staff Course. Then I was appointed to The Spanish Joint Staff for just a year were I was promoted to the rank of Commander. Later on, since June 2017 I am posted as advisor at the Admiral Chief of Staff of the Spanish Navy's Cabinet. I am married and have four children. Show less
