Inside of NOVATTIA R&D division, as principal researcher I am in charge of all R&D projects running within the concentration knowledge area. I lead a research with the objective of improving and reducing the costs of the treatment of mine tailings. I learned how to develop an R&D project, as well as the importance of doing a good experimental design. This stage also serve me to know different analytical techniques (laser diffraction, XRF chemical analysis, DRX mineral analysis, …). I also improved my designing skills. I participate in a research that studied the use of ceramic membranes for the treatment of produced water with the objective of reusing the water. I learned how to make a good study of the state of the art, and making experiments in an optimum way. I also learned how to transfer the laboratory results to the industrial field. As an outcome of this work a scientific paper was published.
