  Working remotely and full-time on the Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure (GPII) as release engineer and technical coordinator. Involved in the build/release process and responsible for delivering the final product to the users. Due to the nature of the GPII framework, we work with many different technologies and at different levels - Operating Systems and Desktops: GNU/Linux with GNOME, MS Windows, Mac OS X - Software: Assistive technologies and any software that has potential accessibility and configurable settings such as the web browsers. - The GPII core personalization framework is based on Node.js, express, infusion and the UI is implemented in electron. - We use a cloud infrastructure deployed in GCP, develop with custom Vagrant boxes and have our tests passing through Jenkins. Mostly contributed to the GNU/Linux implementation and some cross-platform components, but also contributed to many different areas of the project. As a build/release engineer, you have to know your software from end to end, which forces you to keep learning new technologies and face new challenges every day. Show less
