To achieve the project's objectives, I am now coordinating and working on the design, planning, and execution of new protocols, experimental methods, and analysis tools.   Design, modelling, and development of an intein-mediated thyroid hormone biosensor for the diagnosis and potential treatment of hypothyroidism.I was responsible of the wet-lab team working on the design, cloning and characterization of our proof of concept, tracing the operation and potential of our system. I also worked on audiovisual communication and social networks tasks as a graphic designer and assisted on the system modelling. The project achieved the Gold Medal, 2 Special Awards for Best New Basic Part (DNA) and Best Wiki, and nominees for Best Therapeutics Project, Best Poster and Best Presentation.Project done at the Translational Synthetic Biology Lab under the mentoring of Dr. Marc Güell and the Synthetic Biology for Biomedical Applications lab under the mentoring of Dr. Javier Macia and Sira Mogas.
