The phrase "uniquely talented individual" has become a bit of a business cliche, but it simply is the best way to summarize Jay as a professional. I had the opportunity to work with Jay for eighteen months as we built a strategy & creative practice from two employees (just the two of us) to a growing and energized fifteen member team. During that process, Jay was the perfect partner, supportive of change, throwing out new ideas, and making short work of everything on his (very large) plate. Our first challenge together was redesigning the AdvanceAutoParts.com website, and Jay proved himself to be extremely professional and creative in overcoming numerous challenges, as well as adopting to rapidly evolving client organization. During that process, we started onboarding new creative resources, and Jay immediately took in providing mentorship and guidance to make sure their transitions were as smooth as possible. Jay is a natural leader, quick to smile, always encouraging others. His ability to leap from pure graphic design to usability to business strategy to hard-core technical development make him very rare indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing all the innovative things Jay will surely do in the future.
