HACCP prerequisite program, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), for Local grown Salads is an Agriculture and Technology company. They are working towards making indoor farms and farming units more accessible than ever to farms in urban settings, producing their products for commercial, restaurant, and retail clientele. My team researched and developed Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for the indoor farming plant and equipment assembly plant. Processes developed included premises and equipment sanitation, plantation and harvesting, produce washing station handling and sanitation, storage, transportation, and record-keeping for all operations. A unidirectional workflow is designed and suggested to prevent environmental and personnel contamination of produce. I also researched and recommended closed-loop irrigation systems to promote sustainability and presented organic methods. Federal Food Safety regulations are followed. Show less
