At Alcone, I was part of Measure Twice, a joint venture between Rapp and Alcone. Our team was focused on using interactive and emerging technologies to bridge the gap between 1 to 1 and 1 to many marketing, generating higher ROI for our clients. Before joining the Measure Twice team, I led the creative, studio, print production and merchandising teams handling work for six Mexican beer brands distributed by Heineken USA. This eighteen-person creative group was responsible for conceptualization and execution of all English and Spanish language below-the-line efforts including national promotion, POS, events, sponsorships, packaging, merchandising displays, shopper marketing, customer and regional marketing as well as some brand identity and advertising work. We also created promotions for Hasbro Games and advertising and promotions for Zantac. I was given a mission: help blow the dust off the iconic but tired Grand Marnier brand, and make it relevant. We re-energized the brand with a full 360-degree marketing effort based on a compelling “start the conversation” platform. Advertising sported a seductive new design and provocative, conversation-starting headlines tailored to the media in which they ran. All POS, displays, promotions, and events reflected the new positioning. TracyLocke also tapped my previous Hershey’s experience, asking me to direct their shopper marketing, customer marketing and NASCAR sponsorship work. My solid Hershey’s relationships opened the door for us to pitch and win incremental business that incorporated emerging technology and events. While at TracyLocke I also worked on PepsiCo, developing promotions, POS and trade marketing materials for Pepsi Multicultural, Lipton, Aquafina, Tropicana, Dole, Sierra Mist and Mug Root Beer.
