  Responsible for researching the vital statistics for public and private businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities in the Memphis area for our weekly Top 25 lists and our year-end Book of Lists. Through that research, I built relationships and retained sources at more than 4,000 businesses and organizations. Starting in 2000, I researched 63 lists and now research and produce more than 100 lists and expanded list content on a variety of industries. I added a blog, the creation of online databases, and other web-related research projects to my responsibilities. Memphis Business Journal is a publication of Charlotte, N.C.-based American City Business Journals, which has 64 publications and reaches a business audience of more than 10 million readers. American City is a unit of Advance Publications Inc., which also operates Conde Nast Magazines, Parade magazine, Fairchild Publications, the Golf Digest companies, Newhouse Newspapers, and cable television interests.
