Led the development of credit models and the implementation of every credit policy for LendUp Card Services to scale the business from its 1st card all the way through its sale and spin-off as Mission Lane, one of the most promising new challengers in the subprime credit card market. At the Times I contributed to several different businesses under the corporate umbrella: For NYT Digital I built a comment moderation system that used online learning and active learning principles with expert moderators as the "human in the loop" to provide a safe, constructive environment for readers. The complete work was presented at the New York Academy of Sciences Machine Learning Symposium. With Ricochet Media, an advertising platform, I created the content discovery system, which included content recommendation, trending content, and search. To transform the Cascade Project, a data visualization prototype developed by Mark Hansen and Jer Thorpe, into a social media analytics product I developed data pipelines and algorithms on the Twitter fire-hose to provide predictions and insights on trending stories, net reach, and network dynamics.
