Special Education Resource/BSC Teacher
-
Aug 2012 - Nov 2014
I was an in class support special education teacher while at West Briar Middle School. I worked with several curriculum departments to ensure that the special education students in the general education setting were receiving proficient instruction and that their accomodations were being met throughout the school day. I was a case manager to several special education students. As a case manager, I was allowed to advocate for those students to ensure that they were successful at the middle school level and continued to work toward their goals. I was also a BSC teacher while at West Briar Middle School, and this included teaching a group of six students in a self contained setting. I was reponsible for teaching several different content areas and working with these students in the areas of character development and social skills.
