The Safety Hotline is the 911 center for Werner Enterprises. Staffed 24/7/365 and ready for all our transportation-related emergency situations. The Hotline is a resource for all safety-related situations encountered by our driver associates as well as our office associates and the motoring public. Daily operations consist of several different tasks which include but are not limited to following up on DOT inspections received by the drivers, Hazardous Materials violation tracking, starting and completing Hazardous Materials briefings and giving proactive reminders to drivers who pull such loads. I also address motorist complaints and driver illnesses through incident reports and follow up accordingly. Some of the reports that come to the Hotline do require a coaching and counsel session to be completed with the driver. The Hotline is also responsible for imputing driver citations and following up on violations not reported by a driver through SuperVision which is a third-party company Werner uses to monitor all commercial licenses records for the company.
