Jason worked at Turtle Rock Studios for three years. He was a great guy to have on the team. Jason works hard, has a positive attitude, and is a quick study when put in unfamiliar territory. He volunteered and helped out on the studio's various charitable efforts and is an all around cool guy. Good hire here.

Simply put, Jason is an amazing tester and an amazing person to work with. When he started on the Turtle Rock Studios QA team, he quickly emerged as one of the leaders on the team by utilizing his past experience to direct some of the lesser experienced members on the team. He was always very reliable with his assigned tasks and always wrote up quality bugs. Due to his reliability and quality of work, it was always very easy to assign him special tasks and testing assignments. He was embedded with the UI team to help test UI features before they fully came online for the rest of the team, which was met with praise from the UI team, production, and the managers on the QA team. Jason also demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. He very easily developed a rapport with the rest of the QA team and other developers in the studio. His bug reports were always very concise and contained all of the information required to get the issue addressed. If developers ever had a question regarding reproduction steps, severity of the issue, or further clarification, Jason was always quick to open up communication to get the issue resolved as soon as possible either by talking to the developer directly or by getting whatever information was requested. Jason is also great at leading tests and providing input for hard to reproduce issues by collaborating with the team and taking suggestions for testing. While some testers with strong leadership abilities sometimes conflict with other leaders on the team, Jason does not. Jason can also take direction from others and provide support to others where necessary and does not immediately try to step on others if someone else is acting as a leader, he will offer his support and assistance in those situations. He is very much a team player. Overall, I would highly recommend Jason to any QA team looking for a strong and adaptable tester that can meet any situation and can integrate very quickly to any team.
