It is my pleasure to write this recommendation for Jason Tharaldson, LMFT. I have had the opportunity to work closely with Jason over my four years of practice as a psychiatrist with the PrairieCare Medical Group where Jason is a clinical therapist and lead program psychotherapist for our Adapted ACT/DBT Intensive Outpatient Program. It is without any hesitation whatsoever that I say Jason is an outstanding psychotherapist with superior clinical skills. He is without a doubt the most effective psychotherapist I have worked with in my 25 years of clinical practice. We have collaborated closely on hundreds of patients, many of whom I referred directly to Jason myself. I am repeatedly impressed by his ability to quickly identify the needs of his patients, to gently probe their deep seated emotional conflicts, to wisely but kindly challenge unhealthy beliefs, and all the while doing so with a delightful sense of humor as he actively guides them through the therapy process. My patients who have worked with Jason consistently say to me with heartfelt honesty, thank you so much for referring me to Jason. I’ve never had such a good therapist. Jason has never shied away from challenging cases and yet maintains healthy limits and appropriate personal and professional priorities and boundaries. He is highly respected by his colleagues and clinic co-workers. He is humble and hard working and a true leader on our team. I have nothing but praise for his work and if pressed to comment on any weaknesses I would be unable to find fault. I have said many times with great enthusiasm that I would refer any one of my own family members to him if I could. Any clinic who has the opportunity to secure his services should act quickly as I am confident they will agree with my assessment that Jason is an insightful, adaptable, warm and caring individual and a superbly talented psychotherapist who in my opinion and experience is outstanding in his field.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jason for the past 2 years in our adult intensive outpatient program. He has worked incredibly hard to develop and implement the awesome and innovative curriculum for our integrated A-DBT/ACT Track and facilitate the therapeutic application group, which remains unique to our Edina site. I would highly recommend Jason, he is a go to for me for outpatient referrals, I often lightheartedly refer to him as a "respectful challenger" in the individual therapy setting. He has an amazing ability to hold patients accountable, help instill motivation, empowerment and build skills all while maintaining a strong rapport with every patient he works with. Every patient I have referred to him loves him and I so often hear "I am actually making progress" when they work with him. His open-minded, lighthearted attitude and willingness to create an interactive skill building atmosphere have made him an invaluable resource in both our clinic and programs. I feel very fortunate to work alongside Jason!
