  Facilitating over 200 individual and group sessions, tutoring student-athletes in principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics at the Gerdin Athletic Learning Center has been an invaluable experience. I’ve seen my active listening and emotional intelligence drastically improve as being successful in the role requires constructive communication. Moreover, time-management and setting concise agendas is crucial in having productive sessions.   I really valued being able to intern with Zeller and collaborate with 4 different teams across 3 Class A Minneapolis office buildings this past summer. I gained a holistic understanding of the commercial real estate industry, being exposed to the property management, leasing, and financial aspects that compose such a dynamic and fast-moving market. Everyday interning was unique as I was consistently looking for ways to improve the day-to-day operations of the current building I was assisting and also make progress on prior tasks for other locations. My fellow peers and I were also given the opportunity to interact with senior leadership on a weekly basis during Zeller’s intern forum program.   Starting as just a summer internship the summer prior to my sophomore year and morphing into a position spanning almost a year and a half, working at Friendship Beverage was truly a gratifying experience. At first, I was given the opportunity to build relationships with retailers and influencers as I saw two different sides of business and how they operate. Following that initial internship, I was offered a consulting-style position where I aided in creating our Shopify account to integrate direct-to-consumer revenue and creating a financial dashboard for potential investors.
