Responsible for solving chemical and material related manufacturing problems that occur. • Supplier Quality Assurance Administrator: Operate and maintain a LIMS (laboratory information management system) database, creating material engineering specifications for chemicals used on site, reviewing supplier certificate of analysis (COA) data, and interacting with suppliers. This program significantly reduced manufacturing negative events related to deficient chemicals and ensured the site maintained its ISO certification. • Chemistry Laboratory Safety Representative: Assure that the chemistry lab follows all IBM, state, and federal safety requirements. Involved in assuring that the IBM Burlington obtained Vermont OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) star status. Involved with troubleshooting manufacturing safety issues.
