Jason conversed with me about prospective vocational opportunities, particularly relating to computer science at my future college & the pre-requisite general education courses I should take to prepare myself. He also provided financial advice and how to pursue my passion projects while maximizing my earning potential. He was very cogent, concise, and considerate in his admonition, feedback, and suggestions.

Mr. Quinley taught me Calculus, Vector Calculus, and Game Theory in high school. In addition to a teacher, he was also my math team coach and a mentor to me. In spite of his sometimes overwhelming expanse of knowledge, he was excellent at finding ways to build bridges to his students, helping us find both answers and new questions without ever holding our hands or letting us give up. Mr. Quinley was very passionate about fostering a deep and thorough understanding of course topics as opposed to teaching us how to memorize a process that would give us the right answer on an exam. Because of this, his unique tests, which required us to solve problems we had never been walked through before, pushed me in a way that none of my other classes ever had. I am now entering my third year as a Civil Engineering student at Georgia Tech. As it turns out, this type of application-based learning and creative problem solving is exactly what is needed to succeed in a college classroom and, more importantly, in the real world. Another attribute that made Mr. Quinley stand out in the classroom was his ability to adapt to the individual needs of students and the general climate of the class. Without straying from the curriculum, he gave us the freedom to draw connections and research applications of the topics that were interesting and relevant to us. Perhaps most importantly, Mr. Quinley relentlessly and passionately encouraged our curiosity. No question was left unanswered- in fact, very few were left without a follow-up the next day or an email with a link to an article. I am extremely grateful to him for teaching me to work harder, think differently, and question more.
