  I serve as the chief legal advisor to the California Gambling Control Commission which is the primary regulator of controlled gambling in the state of California along with our sister agency, the Bureau of Gambling Control in the Department of Justice. I supervise a small but dedicated team of attorneys who strive everyday to provide the best possible legal advice to to the Commissioners, Executive Director, and Commission staff. In addition, my legal team works diligently with attorneys within the Attorney General's office and applicants to provide fair evidentiary hearings to applicants before the Commission.

In addition, I focus a great deal of effort on Tribal-State Gaming Compacts entered into between the State of California and various Tribal Nations through out California under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.I also serve as a Presiding officer for Gambling Control Act evidentiary hearings before the Commission.
