This role involved liaison with vendors and customers in the development and design of software to improve systems, management of IT specific projects, writing of technical and end-user documentation and management of the software and server functions. I was responsible for overseeing back-ups for Asia-Pacific, management of SQL and database servers, installation patching and checking of logs and management of the exchange servers and active directory as a whole. I had a number of achievements in this role including:➢ Created an automated user and password expiry service, eliminating issues with lost work time in the event of contract extensions and allowing managers to automatically extend this for business as usual processes to continue➢ Currently developing a service that allows the upload of PowerPoint slides to merge with movies onto SharePoint for viewing. ➢ Developed a system with a web front-end to create real-time reports for management, sales and finance, allowing staff to quickly identify issues and trends before they became a major issue➢ Created an application for the service centres to track transactions, assisting with stock taking, a reduction in docket errors and improved speed when processing transactions, managing all the iterations of the application➢ Managed and trouble shot the global infrastructure of over 900 servers worldwide in many countries➢ Team member of the ‘Follow the Sun’ support model, with sole and global responsibility for all servers between 9am and 3pm, resolving issues including power cuts, configuration problems, fax services and issues associated with robotics Show more Show less
