Efforts led to better and faster ways of interrogating images, forecasting and identifying aerosol contaminants such as fires, smoke, dust, fog, thunderstorm cores. • Assisted in the testing and evaluation of a high resolution US Navy aerosol model for dust, ash and smoke dispersion, designed to better evaluate source region mapping, lofting, boundary layer motions and advection parameters in dry or wet conditions to better determine potential factors in reduced visibilities and air quality forecasts. • Supervised 21member team and aircraft weather products for 32 airfields in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom while assisting in task certification and ancillary training progress of all enlisted/officers gaining Lead Meteorologist position qualification in a 25 position ops center. • Managed research and development projects on weather impacts; forecasts techniques and procedures, analysis of weather severe weather events, aircraft mishap research, all requiring strong dynamics and meteorological background, excellent communications skills and adaptive reasoning while under time constraints. • 18yrs hands on experience with WSR-88D and WR-700 doppler radar (and Duel Pol), as both trainer and manager, (skilled with GR2, GR2A, GR3).
