  I am expected to develop estimates and written proposals for customers and general contractors. This allows me to create budgets for estimated projects for framing, siding, roofing, and finishes. Along with estimating I have to analyze plans, review contracts, maintain crews for the projects, create safety protocols for the General Contractors, and maintain working relations with customers. I also keep historical estimating data to create conceptual estimates and provide cost data information to be used in budgeting of projects. At times I would have to create, review, and refine scopes of work specifications for contracts. To create a conceptual budget I would have to solicit bids and negotiate information from suppliers, vendors, and contractors. I also have to visit projects to evaluate site requirements and to assure contract scopes and estimating accuracy.
