  As a rifleman in the United States Marine Corps I was tasked with leading and training Marines in team building combat operations exercises. I served over seas in Afghanistan from October 2018 to May 2019, working closely with the Afghan National Army. I aided in the training of Afghan soldiers while also working to protect high value advisors during missions in Helmand Province Afghanistan.
