Jason Jenkins has been a great friend of mine for many years. We studied together in pharmacy school and it was at that time I realized Jason's sharp memory and eagerness to go above and beyond in his studies easily put him ahead of the class. Jason never had trouble figuring out complex pharmacy math calculations. In fact, everything that came at him he excelled at. We graduated together from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 2006. After pharmacy school Jason tried a few areas of pharmacy looking for what fit him best. He spent some time doing a hospital residency learning a lot about complex clinical pharmacy that one cannot truly learn in school. Jason has also worked in retail as well as an evening hospital pharmacist. He truly is a well rounded pharmacist that can do just about anything. Jason is not only an excellent pharmacist but a great friend. When I had clinical questions during my ER training at the university of Iowa I always called Jason for help. He is well versed on all of the major online resources such as Lexi-Comp, Facts and Comparisons, Pub Med, GlobalRPH.com, UpToDate as well as others I'm sure. Beyond pharmacy Jason is a computer wiz. He's built his own computer and has a vast knowlege of many computer programs. I'm not sure what pharmacist position Jason is looking for. He's a very bright and easy to get along with individual. Again, he is a good friend of mine and if I had the opportunity I'd hire him in a second.

As manager of the Leavenworth location, I was responsible for implementation and opening the site. I was the only pharmacist on site, and I was expected to run the pharmacy as if I personally owned it. My responsibilities encompassed virtually everything that it takes to run a pharmacy on a daily basis, including hiring and managing my technician, marketing to potential clients, developing relationships with prescribers and other staff at the center to grow the business, finances, all staff pharmacist responsibilities (entering orders, verifying orders, taking phone prescriptions, counseling clients, etc.), and running and evaluating daily reports. Prior to leaving the company, I was awarded an all-expenses paid cruise to Cozumel for hitting goals. Only 1/3 of site managers earned this reward. Show less
