Jan 2020 - Present
I currently work at Keller Williams - MacKay Realty Network. Prior to becoming a Realtor I had a successful 20-year career as a C-Suite leader. This encompassed the oversight of numerous heavy industrial and environmental service companies across Canada and parts of the US which frequently included the construction, purchasing and sale of large industrial and commercial real estate. This strategic management and financial expertise make me the perfect Realtor to help clients buy, sell and invest in real estate. My previous roles demanded a high level of business acumen, unwavering attention to detail and an absolute commitment to exceeding client expectations. As the lead on many merger and acquisition transactions and union collective bargaining agreements, I possess expert negotiation skills which I leverage to the benefit of my client's real estate transactions. I look forward to your call!

Senior Vice President, Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions
-
Feb 2015 - Mar 2018
Driving the corporate M&A strategy, I propelled the EBITDA up 14%+ and built a $200M EBITDA acquisition pipeline. I headed investment decisions, negotiation, acquisition integration, and other key projects, as well as contributing in the company vision, direction, strategy, and business growth plans. As this was a new area of the business, I built, coached, and mentored the M&A team and established processes, procedures, and best practices. ► I created the corporate M&A function from the ground up, identified 100 target companies, and facilitated 3 acquisition deals in the U.S. and Canada that bolstered the EBITDA by $4.8M. ► By collaborating to strategize a 5-year corporate strategic plan focusing on M&A as a growth driver, I played a key role in multiplying the shareholder value by millions of dollars.

VICTORY IN CHALLENGING MARKETS ► To rebound and sustain HydroVac Industrial & Marine Services after the recession, I closed and sold a facility, relocated its business, and acquired a new sole-source services contract, adding $20M in revenue over 5 years. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ► I won and managed multi-year client contracts (over $10M/yr. each) and built relationships with key clients, such as Nova Chemicals, Shell Canada, and Suncor Energy. ► By mobilizing operations resources from 4 regions, I ensured a successful major project and gained requests for similar projects. COST CONTROL ► Saving $1.4M in overhead costs, I closed BC headquarters, sold assets, and relocated key leaders. ► I cut employee pension/benefit plan costs by $150K after the acquisition of a portfolio of companies by standardizing plans and negotiating a 15% provider cost reduction.
