I provide professional Alternative Dispute Resolution services for 12 districts and 22 charter schools who are members of the Southwest Special Education Local Plan Area (SW SELPA) in coordination with Directors' special education and Superintendents' Council needs. These duties include: -Facillitate IEP team meetings at the request of the district and/or parent. -Conduct formal conflict resolution sessions at the district or SELPA offices to facilitate the acceptance of FAPE and prior to filing with CDE Complaints and/or OAH. -Provide formal mediation following a district or parent filing for due process. -Conduct trainings or workshops for various district and charter school staff including topics such as communication strategies, understanding the benefits of ADR, and making meetings work.
