  While working with the NOAA West Coast Region Office (WRCO), I developed a foundational understanding of federal marine policy. I worked on two projects at WRCO: editing and compiling the components of the first management plan draft for the proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary (CHNMS), and developing a new user-friendly database for incident reporting in the West Coast Region through ArcGIS Survey123. This project is designed to improve coastal forecasting algorithms by assessing the effects of coastal parameters (i.e. wave shoaling, internal waves, topography).
