  Along with 8 other counselors, I hold the responsibility of maintaining the safety of up to 100 kids daily. This includes escorting them to the bathrooms, limited access to those outside the program, actively observing all surroundings and and potential hazards, and addressing health concerns of kids (bloody noses, cleaning fluids, CPR etc.)

  Pre-trial supervision probation officers supervises clients awaiting their trial after they were recommended to the supervised release program by a judge during their arraignment as part of their bail. During this time, the officers lay out the conditions set by the judge that they must comply with while awaiting their trial in order to get assistance (whether it's mental illness, drug abuse, substance abuse etc.) Based on the behavior of the client during their supervises release time, the probation officer has the discretion to increase or reduce meeting frequency. The officer is also required to report to the judge any condition violations, arrests, and non-compliance issues.
