Jason has a growing national and international reputation as a skilled communicator and facilitator, with a particular focus on building cross-cultural understanding in a range of contexts. Working throughout Australia, including remote and regional areas, Jason assists individuals, communities and organisations to create productive relationships, projects, programs and services. Demand for his skills has also taken him to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Africa and Singapore. Over many years Jason has built a strong network of contacts in Indigenous Australia, using his non-confrontational approach to bring people together and achieve results. By building rapport and mutual respect, he has brokered solutions to complex situations involving infrastructure projects, service delivery, income support programs and enterprise development. Jason’s expertise spans training, facilitation, mentoring, change management and project management, with a specialty in dealing with people from diverse backgrounds and technical levels. His practical and friendly manner puts participants at ease and enables a positive learning environment. He has a deep knowledge of Indigenous community development principles as well as a sound understanding of participatory project management. His cross-cultural communication skills are grounded in broad life experience and his work within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This has been extended through networks in Indonesia, voluntary involvement in settlement support for refugee families as well as cultural adjustment and mediation projects with refugee and Aboriginal communities in Darwin. Jason has in depth experience implementing and evaluating small-medium enterprise and microfinance projects designed to assist communities to establish sustainable, locally driven and owned, income and employment streams.

The First Australians Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) is the Peak Body for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Businesses and their Representative Bodies. FACCI was established by the National Network of Indigenous Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations in April 2015 to represent the interests of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Businesses and to act as the Key Conduit between the First Australians Business Sector, Government and Corporate Australia. FACCI is a member driven initiative with a national grass roots footprint, providing an opportunity to lead real change through accurate advice and guidance to Government and the Private Sector in their efforts to locate and engage with First Australian Business Owners for the purpose of meaningful procurement and economic growth for First Australian Communities. As the Peak Body our role is to represent Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Business in partnership with our members. It is our responsibility to lead and advise, to advocate and challenge, to regulate and, to maintain our relevance to a growing sector. Under FACCI, Indigenous Chambers of Commerce & Business Associations provide a unique model to be embraced by Governments to establish and grow resilient and viable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses across Australia. Through proper role modelling by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Business Leaders we encourage enterprising Aboriginal communities, focused on commerce as a means to addressing our own Social and economic disadvantage.
