Analyzed previous dental portfolio against AZ marketplace and developed new product and network options. Membership is expected to increase 300% through 7/2019 -Support Business Development team by generating PowerPoint presentations for prospective alliances-Supported Dominion’s 2016 acquisition of a dental carrier by conducting product and membership analyses and product filings to allow for transition of 130K members -Partner with each of Dominion’s ten health plan alliances on annual implementation of their dental product portfolios. As a Claims Specialist, I was responsible for reviewing all single restoration crown and bridge claims for Dominion’s parent company. As one of four clinical review specialists, I was the only claims member certified by our Dental Director to approve and deny clinical dental claims. During my 18 months as a Claims Specialist, the efficiency with which claims were processed increased to company highs in each quarter: - Average number of days to pay claims from January 1, 2010 through July 2011: 4.75 days; industry standard: 15 days. - Thoroughly trained in proprietary programs used to research and process claims. - Effectively responded to dental providers and Member Services staff with specialized claims inquiries in a timely manner while maintaining HIPAA compliance. - Used Microsoft Excel to maintain electronic records, complete weekly prediction reports, and prepare ad hoc claims reports for management.
