As an Emergency Department scribe, I assisted NPs, PAs, and MDs in the Hospital in various ways. My job included transcribing important record information from patient/provider interactions. I was also responsible for loading imaging such as X-ray, MRI, and CT scans, along with recording laboratory test and medications. I learned about medical decision making process the providers go through when giving care and treatment, which was valuable to my future career goals.
