For the last 2 years at Contacta I was tasked with the role of Production Manager, using my knowledge of the systems I had maintained and built over the previous years to ensure that the customer's goods were despatched on time and purchasing requirements to produce these goods were kept within strict budgets. In these last 2 years, every month was met with a KPI of 99.5%+ delivery on time rating. Prior to 2010, I was Project Manager responsible for upgrades to the Global Order Management System. My other job roles included:Identifying IT system improvements and, where necessary, developing/building new software/spreadsheet/database requirements for specific departments and users using Visual Basic 6 and VBA for Excel and Access, or by improving the existing systems in place. As part of this task I was also responsible up to and inclusive of the training of all users and creation of documentation for any new IT systems developed.Maintaining and securing the company's database infrastructure using SQL server. Using SQL Server SSIS to ensure any external data or spreadsheet files received into the infrastructure were properly transformed and the data was of sufficient quality and matched business rules before migration into the company's databases.Producing many bespoke data analysis reports for the Company Directors and department heads using Excel VBA, ODBC, SQL Server SSRS, Crystal Reports, MySQL, Transact-SQL and Microsoft Query. This allowed them to make key business decisions for the future of the company and the structure of their departments.Ensuring data security, performance tuning, integrity/back up and disaster recovery for the company's many databases, utilizing SQL server, MySQL and Veritas. Running a small IT support help desk team of 3, providing a high level of customer service for 50 users across two sites, ensuring internal customers received a quick response and resolution to their problems and enquiries.
