I was one of the founding partners who created Valorem Capital, which purchased a luxury perfume company (Boadicea the Victorious) from Administration in 2011, and within 4 years grew it from a company operating in two stores (Harrods, Selfridges) to a worldwide brand operating throughout The Gulf Region, Russia, Europe and the USA. Within the same time frame we reduced the company’s cost base by 30% and grew retail sales from £1 million to £6 million. I sold my shares in the company in January 2016 after leading the sales process in conjunction with the corporate finance house and accountancy firm we specifically appointed to achieve an exit for our investors.
