  Grayhawk Homes, Inc. was purchased in whole by American Southern Homes in November 2019. Despite the COVID crisis and a lack of staff I maintained a high level of productivity under ruthless schedules in the Columbus and Auburn markets. Redeveloped and/or added new plans to a library of economy plans formerly known as Cornerstone, bringing 9 new products to the market each with 5 distinct elevations in a short period of time. Worked with new Division President and Director of Design to establish new design standards, guidelines as well as design homes suited to the demands and vision of a new set of challenges. Developed heavily modified lot specific solutions to suit the needs of a litany of scattered lots which had been left undeveloped over the years due to the difficult nature of the lots as well as other setbacks. From custom homes in upgraded communities to stripped down to brass tacks; products were well received and were selling as fast as we could receive land. Designed numerous townhome products to a variety of lot conditions for future communities, as design exercises and concept examples. Working to support Director of Land Acquisition, designed a product lineup of narrow homes to prepare for future communities bringing together archived products and new plans to present as products for the upcoming communities requiring a configuration not commonly used in the past. Working to support Director of Operations and director of construction would generate preliminary site plans from approved plats, block out home selection options and identify dimensions to be confirmed in field to focus and streamline data delivery from eyes in the field which helped speed up the document delivery process.

  Managed a greatly expanded team of draftsmen. Grayhawk added divisions in both the South Carolina and Atlanta markets. Development of a library of homes for the South Carolina market with an ever evolving design standard markedly different from the Columbus and Auburn markets. From the at times treacherous process of modifying production level homes to meet the demands of ACC/DRB communities to ground up client driven custom homes the CAD standard was tested but we proved successful against a rapid schedule and wildly swinging community demands. Launched a line up products modified from the Grayhawk Homes Library for the Atlanta Market with an emphasis on basement homes and a localized design standard with additional distinct elevations.

  Led a small team of draftsmen, formalized processes within the CAD department and trained new hires.Primary Operator for Iowa Division. Under direction of Company President and Division Manager developed new plans for Des Moines, Iowa and surrounding markets. Rebuilt documentation for multiple townhome products into a unified CAD standard to increase productivity, the accuracy of the drawings and ability to maintain the masters and customize units as needed. Re-vamped design standards prior to releasing updated products to market.As a result of the overwhelming support of the Homestead Homes market revitalization from consumers, management, and agents my team expanded the updated design standards to the Grayhawk Homes, Inc. Library while bringing the masters up to date with the CAD standard.

  Primary draftsman for the Iowa Division, producing lot specific documentation for new homes and townhome products in Des Moines, Iowa and the surrounding market. Taking direction from Division Manager on design guidelines and documentation requirements revamped the CAD standards and increased accuracy of existing files to improve the accuracy of delivered documents and increase productivity to the demands of a fast moving market. Worked closely with Vice President of Operations and Director of Design to revamp the Homestead Homes product library of homes and offerings for the Auburn Market. Successfully brought a revitalized vision and design standard to a hungry market demanding upgrades and customizations. Developed a results oriented CAD standard that was easily maintainable in a constantly evolving storm of demands, field requirements, and DRB/ACC guidelines; while keeping the flexibility to quickly produce lot specific documentation for projects ranging from near tract build homes to semi and even fully custom homes.
