Jason and I worked closely together in a series of coaching sessions. Jason is a connector. He was able to connect to teachers creating an environment that fostered reflection and open discussion while at the same bringing awareness to pertinent situations helping to identify and highlight the current challenges we face as an IBPYP School community during these challenging times. As a coach he connected and actively fostered my reflection on classroom practice and craft as an educator. He was the catalyst of several paradigm shifts during this time. He is an excellent coach with clear, practical and effective instruction on classroom practice with real and meaningful insights that allowed for and motivated the immediate (and long lasting I am sure) impact on my development of the craft of teaching. His coaching on the sophisticated use of 'Thinking Routines' was particularly effective. All throughout, the sight of learning and understanding through inquiry as a center-point of what we do was never lost. This was reinforced by his continued support and promotion of professional development both driven through the school but more inspiringly, through his participation and devotion to PD outside of school supported programs. I would highly recommend Jason to any school dedicated IB School that would surely benefit from the huge added value he would bring to the table.

Jason is a personable, down to earth and humble human. He has interests in community outreach projects as we were able to travel together to the remote regions of Vietnam. In school, I saw Jason as a true professional, knowing the elements of the IB PYP inside out and knew ways to connect students to these through dynamic pathways. In essence, Jason was working towards creating an environment in which teachers could be innovative, reflect upon and agentic to develop their practices. He worked closely with our primary team, lead teachers, and co teachers to coordinate, lead and ensure effective planning meetings. Jason was always doing great work behind the scenes to create networks that would better the school in the long term as well. I would fully recommend Jason both as a colleague and respected character to blend in to a team environment and make a true difference.
