This internship was a great experience for me, I learned several new skills and honed some of my previous skills further.It was my job to evaluate the overall health of the Carbon Project program. I had several other tasks that were to be completed over the internship.The three major tasks were:- Data collection and management - Perform the carbon accounting calculations- Report the carbon emissions In order to complete these tasks I learned a great deal about the carbon accounting process and emission factors. Once I had a good grasp on the carbon accounting process I designed an Excel spreadsheet to assist with the calculations and generate the graphs I would require for the reports.

Lighting Audit and Retrofit Report, (Durham College Placement Project)

During my last semester at Durham College I was provided with the opportunity to work along side the York region municipality. The energy manager working for York region at the time requested that we perform a lighting audit on one of their community center buildings. Our findings indicated that the building could benefit from a switch from fluorescent tube lighting to LED lighting. The York region staff was very helpful and offered exceptional advice for our group. My teams full report is available on LinkedIn.
