Delta Development Group is a leading professional services consulting firm in the areas of community planning, economic development, IT, and disaster preparedness. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Delta specializes in community planning, funding, and IT strategies with a core focus on economic growth. During almost a full decade at Delta, I advanced the interests of both our clients (local government entities, nonprofit service organizations, real estate developers, hospitals, and institutions of higher education) and the firm by: 1. Managing internal & external multidisciplinary project teams (engineering, design, legal, etc.) for the purpose of successfully implementing public-private partnerships designed to catalyze our clients' development projects; 2. Serving as an intermediary with agency and legislative (local, regional, state, and federal) offices and authorities on projects, including executive level briefings with corporate CEOs, as well as senior elected and agency/authority officials; 3. Facilitating stakeholder interviews, cross-functional working groups, and report development for community & strategic planning exercises; 4. Customizing briefing materials, developing successful project proposals and applications for public funding (county, state, and federal) programs, and managing compliance requirements for related awards (total impact to client projects: +$35 million in public funding); 5. Gathering business intelligence to monitor the development of new public funding programs, regulatory processes, and changes in public policy; 6. Championing internal business development strategies around specific state and federal legislative and funding processes, contributing towards growth in organizational revenue from $3.5m to $9.5m; and 7. Lobbying at the federal and state (Pennsylvania & New Jersey) levels to champion changes in public policy.
