I had the pleasure of working closely with Jasmine for six months when she worked as a STEM design consultant for a Teach First and SSE project to create a suite of lessons for primary-aged pupils relating to energy, the environment and future careers. Above all, I was highly impressed with Jasmine’s attention to detail and commitment to creating the highest-quality planning and resources to enable both teaching and non-teaching staff to deliver engaging lessons. Jasmine showed her ability as a skilled teacher in shaping learning and signalling potential adaptions which could be made to ensure learning would not only be accessible to a wide range of learners in a variety of educational contexts, but also that learning clearly linked to the curricula of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Jasmine was proactive throughout the consultancy work in seeking clarification or advise when needed, enabling her to skilfully manage the project expectations from different stakeholders, resulting in an exceptional final product. Jasmine took a leading role in creating templates which were utilised by the rest of the small team of STEM consultants and played a pivotal role in developing the consistent branding for the resources made. She managed her time very effectively, demonstrated high levels of reflection on her work at every stage, responded very well to feedback and understood the importance of effective communication at all times. It was a pleasure to work with Jasmine on this project, and we feel privileged to have welcomed her back to an intern role with Teach First this summer. Jasmine has both my highest recommendations and most heartfelt thanks for her outstanding contribution to this work.
