Worked alongside my mother to promote and sell her hand crafted jewelry in the DC area. I helped set up tables, organized merchandise to display to customers, advertised by wearing jewelry and showing customers as they walked by the market place, helped price items, wrote up receipts, and enclosed purchased items in gift boxes and bags. At the end of each market day, I helped break down tables, pack up merchandise, and reload vehicle. Worked alongside my mother to promote and sell her hand crafted jewelry in the DC area. I worked alongside a PT and PTA shadowing them and watching their interactions with patients. Learned my way around facility and many of the tech responsibilities. These responsibilities included opening duties and closing duties such as data entry, cleaning duties, setting up patients treatment, answering calls, making appointments, following up with appointment already scheduled, and documenting patients pain levels daily. Observed many patients during their treatments and saw progression in many of the patient’s range of motion, which is crucial in a PT’s field. Show less

As a student worker, I worked in McDaniel Cafeteria ran by Sodexo a well-known food company. Here I served food to my peers, cleaned my designated working area, worked the cash register, and helped set up for special yearly events. My focus was to make sure everyone was served their food accordingly and that students had access to food they wanted to eat. As a sales associate I worked the floor and cash register. Catered to the needs of customers and greeted them as they came in and out the doors of establishment. No matter how busy day became, I always gave a customer my full-undivided attention to fulfill their needs. I restocked items on sales floor, folded and organized sales floor, worked register when needed, directed customers to desired items on sales floor, and during closing made sure floor was organized for the next business day. My summer of 2014, I worked alongside a PT in the metropolitan area. I volunteered and did some shadowing to learn what a day in the shoes of a PT would look like. It was a great experience to see how patients could really improve from the rehabilitation techniques of a PT. My duties were to make sure patients had a clean treatment area, observing, setting up treatment area, and directing patients to designated treatment area.
