I also design and teach interpretive and interpersonal lessons for my 7th and 8th grade Spanish 1 classes. During instruction, I use comprehensible input to engage students with acquiring Spanish. I was placed at Mahomet-Seymour High School and Mahomet-Seymour Junior High School to gain knowledge and experience in a Spanish classroom. My co-operating teacher had a single class she taught at the junior high school which gave me experience being at the junior high level. The classes that I observed consisted of Spanish 1 and 4 classes. Due to covid restrictions I started off joining with the remote students and when I was given approval to go into the classroom I remained attending my observations in person. I taught two lessons during my early field experience; the first lesson was taught for a day and the second lesson was taught for two days. The first lesson was for the Spanish 4 students and it was about their usage of technology (technology unit). The second lesson was for the Spanish 1 students and it was about vocabulary relating on how to make a sandwich (food unit). Overall I gained a lot of knowledge on how to create in class activities accessible for remote students and be able to see how students interact with them. Show less
