    • Research Assistant
      • Sep 2022 - Sep 2023

I assist Senior Researcher Dr Fernanda Adame in organising, planning and conducting field work research from day trips in the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, to leading the Griffith team collaborating with the Dr Catherine Lovelock Blue Carbon Lab (the University of Queensland) in a multi-day field trip in June 2023 in Kakadu National Park. I work directly with PhD students, accompanying them to collect data in the field, assisting them in processing and organising samples for their research projects. I collaborate and work with multiple stakeholders from councils, Traditional Owners, park rangers and private consultants. I am responsible for ensuring that all research equipment is bought, organised, packed and maintained for field trips and laboratory work. I participate in multiple projects such as the Blue Heart Project in the Maroochy River, QLD, the Australian Research Council Linkage Project on Shoreline Mangrove Offset Project in the Logan River, QLD, and the Carbon Abatement and Biodiversity Enhancements Through Controlling Disturbances in Wetlands from Feral Ungulates Project in Kakadu National Park, NT.
