  I am currently an Intern at Exhange/SCAN so that I can learn what a Social Worker does in a nonprofit organization. I am learning and becoming competent in various teaching topics, paper work, and various assignments for Exchange/SCAN. As an Intern I will have a client, in which I will help her/him overcome obstacles in stress, postpardum, depression, etc. I will teach the clients about coping mechanisms, and the stages and the developments of the clients child. I work with individuals who has recently had a baby and are at risk for abusing their child. This intern is a great opportunity to learn about the duties of my future career as a Social Worker!
