Chair of music platform Dormsessions

Dormsessions brings up-and-coming artists right to students' doorsteps, putting on intimate shows in the residence buildings (‘dorms’) of Amsterdam University College and a yearly festival at a location in Amsterdam. As Chair I was in charge of: - Programming the events and communication with artists and other collaborating parties (sponsor, locations etc.) - Managing the team of volunteers - Host during the events and responsible for the logistics of the event. - Financial and technical planning for the festival. During my year as Chair, we have organised 7 well attended events, with a diverse range of acts. The festival ‘Dormsessions: Afloat’ (at De Ceuvel in Amsterdam-Noord) was a large success with 14 acts on 4 stages: It reached a wide audience and sold out with nearly 500 visitors. Show less

Sun Camp is an international summer program in France for children aged 10 – 16. This program revolves around the theme of personal leadership. Situated in nature with only the most basic facilities, participants learn to take responsibility for themselves and each other. After having participated myself, I became a staff member.
