David Hobbs
Jason is enthusiastic and hard working, with a get-things-done attitude. When I first met Jason he had come back from wiring the jungle for quetzal cams, and he continued to be resourceful in his web development. In particular, he was excellent at extending and maintaining the World Bank's Research site / application.
Dave Gibson
I've had the pleasure of working with Jase for almost two years, and I wish that number were longer. Jase is a thinker and a strong doer - he has a strong theoretical base - which is great for programmers, and can apply them to efficiently solve the problem. He will build it and build it thoroughly - so that post launch, you won't find bugs. Jase also has good client-facing skills and is especially effective when he's part of the technical strategy. Working with Jase is fun. He has a great sense of humor and balances the work with life very well. He adds a lot to the environment he works in. I strongly recommend Jase.

On moving to Vermont in 2003, I was concerned about the lack of legal mountain bike riding available in the Montpelier area. I gathered like-minded riders, and built a 60+ member organization which has now invested thousands of hours in trail building and maintenance, and works in coordination with many private landowners and municipal stakeholders. Also served as volunteer Board Chair of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association. Worked on a wide variety of sites, mostly in the non-profit space. Was the lead developer on a PBS-funded children's site which allowed children to create virtual representations of their backyards or other outdoor spaces. Worked out the key technical challenges of providing a drag-and-drop interface for mapping those spaces in a time when that was not an easy challenge. On-site biologist and MacGyver-er / webmaster

2000 - 2001
Was the only on-site staff of a World Bank funded website providing a "virtual visit to the cloud forest". Used a combination of technical and biology knowledge to build and deploy live web-streamed cameras in nest boxes of Resplendent Quetzals, hummingbird feeder cameras, and infrared bat-cams. Also worked with local Costa Rican guides to provide weekly "guide lesson" content updates for the site.
