As a full time RN with the Float Pool department I am engaged in a position which compliments my diverse range of experience. Current Float Pool competencies include: ACU, CACU, Ortho, Med Surg,Telemetry and procedural areas including Interventional Radiology and GI Services. I have worked as a resource RN throughout the hospital environment, including ER and ICU and have been able to hone my technical skills in order to deliver effective care. While with Risser I worked with an amazing group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Nurses to deliver exceptional care. As a dual accredited organization I participated in 2 JCAHO surveys. I oversaw surgical scheduling and coordination of staff and outside reps to meet the needs of our clients. I value the experience in this position because it afforded me a dynamic role including leadership while still being able to provide direct patient care in the peri-op environment. As inventory manager, I monitored product levels and worked to ensure adequate supply during peak sales periods. I worked with team members of management and associates to reduce shrink and improve loss prevention and coordinated the stores annual inventory. During my tenure, the store met its shrink goal of less than one percent.
