Development of chemical probes for methyl-lysine reader proteins with a focus on Chromodomain proteins. I use a variety of techniques including structure-based design, organic synthesis of target compounds, and assay development and implementation. I am also interested in understanding the structural requirements and specificities of methyl-lysine mimetics for various methyl-lysine readers.
