As the president of the MSU Management & HR Club, Jarett spent his senior year at the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship demonstrating his well-rounded management skills, from both an operational and leadership perspective. As the faculty advisor for the club, each year I recommend club leaders do some of the planning over the summer to prevent overload during the busy academic months. Jarett was the first leader to be willing to spend some of his summer planning. Doing so led to Jarett scheduling multiple meetings with business leaders in our community, providing our student members the opportunity to meet with business executives, tour multiple manufacturing facilities and meet with a panel of hospitality leaders. Jarett also led club officers resulting in a successful year for the club, which included professional development events, HR Panels, along with general management events as mentioned above. In the spring, Jarett led a group of 11 students to the Bay Area where students met business professionals from companies including Nest, Eat Club, Rombauer Winery, TRX and Epicenter. During this trip, Jarett made sure that students were properly prepared by having them research our hosts and their organizations, and prepare questions to ensure that conversation flowed. I have also been Jarett's instructor in multiple management classes. Jarett works hard and strives to put forth his best work, which I believe he will carry over to his professional life and if he decides to pursue his MBA or other graduate degree. I highly recommend Jarett for any position for which he applies. He will be a great asset to any organization he joins. Please feel free to contact me for more information regarding Jarret at robyn.chupka@montana.edu.
