  To be fully responsible for and accountable for the recruiting, OHS and management of sub-contractors and company drivers, ensuring that every major client, of Kings, has their transportation requirements met.Key responsibilities for this role include: • Meet the minimum net gain of driver numbers as set by the Operations Manager in any specific period. • Be responsible for drivers’ recruitment, training and development. • Oversee and conduct lessons on driver Occupational Health and Safety in accordance with the companies OHS&E procedures and policies. • Contribute to the development of our safety management system to achieve positive OHS outcomes and to promote and establish a culture of safety to all staff / contractors. • Complete weekly driver Toolbox Meetings onsite. • Working closely with both Sales and key Operational staff to successfully implement any new contracts requiring road assets. Conduct driver-counselling sessions, which include completing incident reports. • Have the authority to check and approve bills from suppliers. • Be able to write reports and letters for drivers on request. • Participate and assist with the development of projects. • Discipline yourself to use your time in an effective and efficient manner. • Assist with the motivation of the team environment. • Actively seek advertised transport tenders. • Account for key weekly results. • Work with all departments including administration for the payroll aspects and sales in regard to permanent runs and customer requirements.
