Appeared before district courts and grand juries in over 20 jurisdictions.Significant litigation included:-- U.S. v. Slager (Charleston, SC): Led the investigation and prosecution of police officer for murder of unarmed motorist, Walter Scott.-- U.S. v. Williams, et al. (New Orleans, LA): Co-led the investigation and co-chaired the trial of two New Orleans police officers for the killing of Raymond Robair and obstruction of justice.-- U.S. v. Warren, et al. (New Orleans, LA): Led the investigation and first-chaired the trials of the unjustified shooting death of Henry Glover and burning of his body by New Orleans police officers in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. -- U.S. v. Garza, et al. (Corpus Christi, TX): Led the investigation and prosecution of bias-motivated sexual assault and torture of a gay, African-American man. -- U.S. v. McQueen, et al. (Lexington, KY): Led the prosecution of corrections officers for systemic abuse of detainees.-- U.S. v. Cha, et al. (Guam): Led the investigation and first-chaired the trial of a sex trafficking ring in Guam. -- U.S. v. Edwards (Florence, SC): Led the investigation and prosecution of forced labor of intellectually disabled man.Professional Awards included:-- Civil Rights Division’s Walter W. Barnett Award for Excellence in Advocacy (2017)-- Assistant Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award (2011)-- Special Commendation for Outstanding Service in the Civil Rights Division (2010, 2016)
