Jared was a student of mine until March of this year. Before he took up his student role he worked as a manager in the leisure industry, and this equipped him with a multitude of skills; importantly from a mental health nursing perspective, communication and people skills; which gave him a head start. During the programme Jared's life experience and maturity stood him in very good stead and he excelled both academically and clinically.
