Jani is a true entrepreneur, whether he is employee or not, and very disciplined coder who tries to balance between keeping things simple and adjustable enough, but aiming for simplicity not for generality. When I camed to Enersize, I wasn't expecting such a huge discipline regarding test automation which Jani had done before when he was the only person in the project. I think that motivation for simplicity and keeping the automation testing in reasonable level were the key factors which made new team member adapting to codebase quite smooth and increased the confidence of making changes to existing codebase of every team member. He was also a good boss. He gave responsibilities, positive feedback and injected ideas - instead of forced - into our brains whenever possible. Bringing humour and laughter to team every single day was quite unique characteristic in him which felt very nice. Jani is open for new ideas, innovative himself, helpful, still wants to keep in mind that the customer is paying the bills, and making customer happy is even better.
