Within this amazing program that brings play-writing residencies into Philadelphia schools, I am part of the education staff that coordinates and communicates between teaching artists, teachers and actors. I am playing Enid in NCT's production of Legally Blonde! This dinner theatre is held in a renovated rustic barn with a buffet and cash bar (the specialty drinks for the show are wonderful)! The actors are also your servers. It's a great show and a fun time. Come out and support the arts! I am playing Enid in NCT's production of Legally Blonde! Through my seminar at Emerson College, I had the opportunity to teach sophomores and seniors in high school in a variety of subjects--including English, Honors Shakespeare and Theatre Arts. I used my knowledge of theatre education to teach using multiple intelligences and theatre as a basic background. I also co-directed the spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone. As an activity specialist, I take two weeks at each camp site over the summer and put together the annual summer musical from scratch. I am in charge of auditions, casting, blocking, choreographing and costumes. I communicate with the art specialist on the set and backdrop for each show. I work with children, ages 9-17, on learning their lines, memorizing dances and singing the group and solo songs.
